How we work? Is that important to you? It should be as having a VA on board, as an integral team member, may get involved in many areas of your business. They bring with them skills, knowledge and experience that you can draw on when you need it.

Here at Virtual Hand we will enable you to get back to doing those things you love, bring you joy and what you fully intended to do in your business, fully confident that your business is in safe hands. We encourage you to list all the things you do in your business and then divide them into the areas that feed your passion and feed your bank balance against the others that don’t. What elements would you give to someone else to do (an employee in the future, perhaps). That’s our starting point.

Our business is to learn your business; so your success is our success. Building good relationships is important to us so we will ensure that the work we do exceeds your very own high standards and expectations.

Our relationship starts with a Free Consultation meeting or telephone conversation where we can get to know you and how we can help you. Our Marketing, IT or Virtual Assistant services can be engaged on an ad hoc basis, for individual projects or as a retainer on a fixed monthly fee.

Meet The Team

Michelle Poole


Michelle is the owner of Virtual Hand and has over 30 years experience in the world of office administration and over 15 years experience at Senior and Board level, gained in a variety of industries; Finance, Textiles, Charity, Advertising, Marketing and Distribution; all in Yorkshire.

She is a fully qualified trainer in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) and also has a background of 20+ years in the Military and brings all that discipline, ‘can-do’ attitude as well as fun and commitment to support her clients every step of the way.

Anna Walker


Anna has worked in office administration, business development and client relations since 2001, and has dealt with many clients, including most of the major UK insurance companies, warranty companies and logistics firms.

Anna is proficient in MS Office, and has an excellent working knowledge of social media including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook & much more. She also has experience in diary management, customer services, transcription, article simplification, research, and a wide range of general administration tasks.

Helen Spurr


With a background in trading and property management, investing and asset management Helen is particularly skilled in report writing and data analysis. As well as interpreting data, creating visual representation and evaluating customer trends, market trends and identifying opportunities. Helen has extensive experience in MS Office; specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
CLaire Bourke


Claire has over 20+ years of admin support, after leaving the Business Travel industry she set up her VA business and has been running it successfully for over 6yrs; her area of expertise being e-marketing, image creation, social media. She covers email management as well as scheduling for social media.
Julia Reedshaw


With excellent planning and organisational skills, Julia has successfully managed many projects working on a B2B and B2C basis.

She has gained a wealth of experience through 30 years in the world of Insurance to include that in the field of sales and marketing. This includes CRM management, supporting company rebranding, documentation design, content and print management, plus development and management of websites, social media strategy, product development including competitor research and analysis along with experience in the operational processes that support business efficiency.

Kate Vayle


Kate has 20 years experience in a variety of roles within the retail and metering section of the energy industry. She is skilled in document production, reporting, compliance management, public liability and administration.

She is methodical in her approach to tasks and able to think of the bigger picture in order to identify and suggest better practices and opportunities.

Collette White


Collette has over 30 years of experience spanning different sectors including Legal, Technical, Insurance, Medical, Dental and Marketing.

She has extensive experience in B2B and B2C and is CiM Certified.  Her experience includes Event Management (UK & Internationally), Marketing & Branding, Product & Proposition development, Internal communications, Social Media management and networking.

Julia Reedshaw


Jamie works with our clients to get their messages across and help achieve their marketing and communications goals. To do this, he strives to gain insight into the people involved and what drives them.

If you have a brand vision or marketing goal, you can rely on Jamie to deliver it. He specialises in digital content including websites, blogs, emails and profiles. However, qualified experience as a journalist makes him able to write effective press releases, magazine copy, ads and brochures.

He’s here to help you fine-tune your messaging so it says what you want, how you want.ise being e-marketing, image creation, social media. She covers email management as well as scheduling for social media.
