The tag [TIME SAVED] shows you where a Virtual Assistant (such as Virtual Hand) can save you time by doing these elements. This allows you to do what you love in your business as well as what you are good at.
Do you like making calls? Is the frustration of having to continually call back or be interrupted by returned calls driving you mad? Is rearranging your diary becoming an obstacle course?
Time is Money
Time is money and if you as a business are not using your time effectively to earn money then you won’t stay happy doing what you love!
Making appointments either by email or telephone is time consuming [TIME SAVED] and being able to talk, view a calendar, agree a day/time, put the information into your diary and send a confirmatory email does not require your expertise and skill. It does however need someone with a pleasant telephone voice, a professional manner and knowledge of a little bit of technology and to be able to communicate/negotiate [TIME SAVED].
A VA is ideal for this role on many levels. The simplest of this being they have a PA background (usually) which gives them all these skills ready for you to utilise. Provide the contact information, access to your calendar or just dates/times when you are available and they can sit and make the appointments whilst you are building your business and doing what you love [TIME SAVED].
Also it makes your business look larger, having additional support also alleviates all the interruptions which can make your ‘big jobs’ harder to complete, when they call back.
Imagine looking at your diary to find a lovely smattering of new appointments with either new clients, review meetings or just meetings that you need with suppliers/customers/the bank manager etc; it can only give you a warm fuzzy feeling!
Cold Calling
Probably the worst part of any business – if in fact you decide to employ this tactic for getting more clients, is cold calling [TIME SAVED]. Again getting someone else who loves this in fact is a great solution for you. They are used to the responses, they don’t take it personally and they can remain calm, pleasant and move onto the next number. The stress for a business person to do their own cold calling is massive; that’s why there are so many businesses out there that can either do it for you or train you to do it.
So avoid the pain and go straight to the warm fuzzy feeling – that’s my advice when looking at making appointments or diary management tasks as a whole.
Here cometh the end of Number 11 – making appointments
